It was a GREAT match, but the teachers squeaked out the win over the 4th and 5th grade champions today. A big thank you to Mrs Wallace and Mrs Horn for organizing their first BOB tournament, and another thank you to everyone who helped support, proctor and monitor. It was awesome!!!

BOB stands for Battle of the Books. Our 4th and 5th graders could commit to teams and reading selected books. Then they competed all this week head to head against other teams until one 4th and one 5th grade team was left standing. Those two teams are now competing against the teachers for the ultimate champion. We will report back with the winner. We
are so proud of all the teams!

Some super exciting things happening at River View today!!!!!!

Goodness! I somehow completely missed 3rd grade! I guess 7 parties in one day all starts to run together! 🤪 3rd graders had a blast playing, dancing and crafting! Sorry for the delay-enjoy these pictures!

Our final group, our 4th graders, rounded out our day of grade level parties. They enjoyed dancing to lights, making bracelets and playing games for prizes. Thank you again to all our volunteers for helping make today special!

Our 1st graders kicked off our afternoon with dancing, arts&crafts and games at their grade level party!

Next up-our kindergartners were dancing, playing and coloring during their party and having a BLAST!

Our FBI primary and intermediate classrooms got to participate in their parties next. Lots of bubbly fun was had by all!

And now our 2nd graders have a turn at enjoying some time in the gym with some awesome activities!!!

Today our students are partying it up by grade levels in the gym. First up is our 5th graders. They were having a great time making balloon animals, playing games and dancing with their friends! Thank you to our volunteers who helped make it fantastic!

We are 50 minutes in to our Culver's Night and it is HOPPIN'! Come on out, get your cheese curds and custard and say Hi! to our staff!

PTO Family Art Night was a HUGE success! We had over 120 families come out to draw and paint and enjoy each other's company. A MASSIVE thank you to Mrs. Borzym our AMAZING art teacher for putting this all together!

Kinder and 1st grade students celebrated the 100th day of school today! Some classes choose to dress like a 100 year old, some made t-shirts with 100 items. Some made hats and and some had fun activities like completing 100 math problems or finding 100 words in a word search. It was such a great day!

Coming home tonight in 5th grader's backpacks - a flyer about RV's annual Yearbook Cover Design Opportunity! All 5th graders have a chance to participate. Entries are due Feb. 7th and will be voted on by RV staff. We can't wait to see all the talent!

Thank you to PCHS Band and Choir for coming out to visit our 5th graders and give them information about joining band/choir in middle school. What amazing talent! Have no fear if you want to change your mind-you can contact your middle school principal via email and request that change!

Don't forget to register by tomorrow to save your spot for the PTO Family Art Night! The Art Night is Feb 2 @ 6pm, but we need a head count so we have enough art projects prepared for the kids to complete . Hope to see you then!
